Hello,

I concentrate on storyboarding, concept art, animation, and illustration. My most visible projects include collaborating on storyboard development for two feature films, Barnyard and Time Cop II, and boarded the entirety of several episodes of the animated (5x11min & 2x22min) Dirk Derby Wonder Jockey.

I look forward to working on your next project.

Sincerely,

DR. SKETCHY‘S ROADSHOW
11/05/09

Just got back from Dr. Sketchy‘s Roadshow, the Sherman Oaks pitstop. Dr. Sketchy‘s is basically alternative life drawing sessions where the models are usually in provocative costume. It is very tasteful, the models are very professional (go D.D. and Click)--it was a lot of fun. There are chapters like a franchise all over the nation. This particular one, the "Roadshow" is the L.A. chapter on tour. They will be running up and down the coast through next week. It is only $10 for three hours of drawing. I highly encourage anyone to check it out, even if you are not an "artist" they allow admittance (for $10) so that you can tour the scene and check out artists doing their thing. For more info check it HERE. They also do some little constests and I won the book of my choice Symptomatica by Ragnar (and then I found one I had to buy, Miss Mindy‘s Sassy Paper Doll Bananza).

NEW ILLUSTRATION UP
10/27/09

Posted a new illustration which is a combination of 3D (modeling/rendering) and digital painting in the gallery. HERE is a direct link to the artwork. I used this approach as a warm up for other commissioned work which will require the use of 3D. If you have a project that is just a one shot, the use of 3D does not expedite the creation of the illustration. However, in the next project, I will need to depict a spacecraft from several angles and having a 3D model that I can rotate at will and render, will definitely be more efficient time-wise than just painting each. The combination of 3D and digital painting is a good combination. The background was digitally manipulated photos, the pool was 3D, and the flowing water was digitally painted. Basically I used the mediums that were most efficient for developing each part of the illustration.
